Lewis has been qualified for over 20 years now and still enjoys the challenges of work and running a small business. Eye tests with Lewis are usually long chats interspersed with optical examinations.
Out of work he’s mad about cycling , he’s pretty good at this being the veteran British National Cyclocross champion in 2020

Wendy qualified as an optometrist from UMIST in 2000 and has worked in multiples and hospital settings specialising in Paediatric Optometry. She’s still the organiser in the team and does the work in the background that nobody gets to see! The majority of Wendy’s time is spent looking after enhanced optometry services in the NHS across Greater Manchester and East Lancashire.
Wendy loves playing netball and a good family film night. Nothing makes Wendy happier than planning her next visit abroad and she spends hours scouring the internetfor that perfect villa.
Jo has worked at Craven & Murray for the past 7 years and has worked in optics for over 25 years in various roles.
Jo loves to help clients choose frames to suit their personal style and loves to keep up to date with new styles from all of our brands.
Outside of work Jo loves nothing more than spending time with her family, even though her boys have now flown the nest. She loves to walk the dogs and arranging to get together with her friends for food, drinks and travelling.
Sarah has worked at Craven & Murray for the past 6 years and has been in optic for over 36 years,
Sarah is extremely organised and loves nothing more than cleaning and repairing specs! She loves to dress our window and is determined to win the Norden Carnival ‘Best Dressed’ window one year.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband Ian and grandchildren and is our resident Judith Chalmers having travelled all over the world.
Ian is our resident Yorkshire man. He qualified back in 1981 as the youngest dispensing optician of his era. He worked at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital specialising in prosthetics as a senior dispensing optician.
Over the last 30 years he has worked up and down the country and there is nothing he doesn’t know about optics, whiskey and heavy metal!
